Newbie Help?

I'm a little disappointed not to see recent posts in this group. Is there
anyone who would accept a .jpeg from me to help me identify the gender of a
nicely growing plant? I don't know much but am reading all I can find and
trying hard.

Ah, just post it. It's not like we're starved for bandwidth anymore. Keep
it under 500KB and nobody will care.

Does it seem to have round structures at the tip, or hairy structures?
Round is male flowers before opening. The hairs are the female flowers.

No structures means it hasn't declared yet.

Go ahead and post a jpeg, but in the meantime check this out:

I tried posting this earlier - it's in my sent mail box but it never showed
up here. Sorry.

Ha! Found a solution. Go here to see in full size that you can enlarge.

I also put a second plant that is coming along and you can see little white
hairs on the node. The bigger one...I dunno?

Male flowers have balls, females have hairs. Don't
worry, you'll know when you see it.

Ratio of girls to boys is reliably about 50-50 per group
of seeds. If you plant a half dozen seeds, expect
at least 3 females.

Oh, that's good to know. One male down :)

I think, I think, I have a girl coming - fingers crossed - no balls yet.
