miles...
Either place the male in an enclosure and allow it to finish in
isolation, or best way is to cut most of the branches off the male and
then bag a branch or three. There are special paper bags or you can
make your own by cutting long windows/holes into the sides of a long
bread or wine bag and then taping wax paper in to the window spaces
securely. Place the bags over the entire limb and tie it closed at the
base of the branch.
The plant will continue to mature and after the male drops its pollen
you just remove the plant and seal the bags disposing of the male
carefully. After collection, the bagged pollen is applied to selected
flowers from a vial with a q-tip or small paint brush.
