OMG do I know what you mean! I've found a HUGE difference (not just
me, all of my friends who have tried the white vs. orange) wafers, and
even between those, the orange ones HAVE to be stronger....they're
supposed to be the same but they're not! I'm going to see this doctor
next wk, and I'm wondering how to get the orange disks instead of the
white...do you happen to know? Just ask for the orange dispersible
diskettes? I think they're supposed to be orange-flavored.

Anyway, back to what we were saying (sorry for going off on a tangent!)
I've read in medical books, researched online, and I find that it SAYS
that the wafers only last 6-8 hours....although I know when I go to the
clinic, (I'm on the liquid, I was on 130mg, I was doing the detox, so
by the grace of God I'm actually down to 65mg...but its HARD..I had
just got my body adjusted to 65 when I ran into a BUNCH of wafers, and
I take an average of 160-270 mg (today) dosage...anyway, I notice that
the liquid does last 24 hrs, but I do remember when I was at the higher
dosage, that if I dosed at 8 am, by 4-5 pm I would start feeling BAD.
So thats why they kept raising me.

I agree w/ you, I am SOOO SO sorry I ever started methadone
maintenance...but me being an addict I couldnt suffer the week of
intense w/d's - so I got my medicene the next day at th clinic...I was
planning on doing a 2 week detox...stay on it long enough to get the H
outta my system, then come off the done before I got hooked on
that...but those damned clinic ppl. have a way of sucking you in.
Their business is MONEY, not US......if you detox & stop going, they
lose money...it sucks!!!!!

Anyway, listen to this person - please think *3* times before doing
methadone maintenance...they said it BEST - LIQUID handCUFFS...cant do
anything or go anywhere cause you have to always go to the clinic!

Anyways, take care - I wish you the best of luck!
