[18 years of meth use]
My psychiatrist has prescribed a 45mg per day dose of Desoxyn
(methamphetamine) for the past 18 years.
Last year my medical insurance was terminated and the script costs $1200,
(with insurance its $100), so without warning I had to stop the intake of
the meth.
My few questions are:
1.) Why did I not have withdrawal symptoms
2.) I never ended up looking like those police images of meth users with
scabs and rotten teeth
3.) What chemicals are in the street meth that cause the debilitating
effects and why can't these chemicals be removed/filtered
4.) Why is there such a large jump in costs between insured and non-insured
products

Could have been an epidural block (that's what I got).

Cure all my ass, he was trying to do a mind trick on you. If it was what
I had, they told me it might work or it might not nobody can say. But
they shot it straight into the disc, (not pleasant but not major).
Find a different ortho doctor NOW, yours sounds like the quacks they have
in Pinehurst.

The word is "their", not "there". Anyhow, you call *me* drug addled,
you can't even construct proper sentences (capitalization etc), and
you didn't "say", you typed.
Now, to technicalities. Firstly, about 1.22 billion of the 4 billion
*adult* population of the world smokes nicotine in one form or the
other (mainly third world countries).

Secondly, about 2 billion of the adult population of the world drinks
alcohol.

What do you bet that Uncle Sam / DEA / CIA have gone ahead and released
the spores of the fungus that targets the opium poppy selectively,
[supposedly, though evidence from Colombia shows it targets pretty much
anything green & growing], despite the categoric refusal of the Afghan
government to sanction an aerial spraying program.
Either way its just ensured the defeat of the Coalition forces in
Afghanistan, and its return to the forces of 7th century Islam
-destroying the poppy fields only serves to drive the population into
the ranks of the Taliban as the only alternative employer.
