Why run attack ads on the GOP when the Dems can simply stick a

At the National Press Club today, Vice President Dick Cheney raised
the ire of West Virginia lawmakers when he made an offhand incest joke
about the state, saying he “had Cheneys on both sides of the family
and we don’t even live in West Virginia.” West Virginia Gov. Joe
Manchin, Sens. Robert Byrd (D) and Jay Rockefeller (D) and Reps.
Shelley Moore Capito (R) and Nick Rahall (D) all condemned Cheney’s
attempt at humor. This evening, Cheney’s spokesperson, Lea Anne
McBride, put out a statement apologizing for the Vice President:

The Vice President’s offhand comment was not meant to hurt anyone.
On reflection, he concluded that it was an inappropriate attempt at
humor that he should not have made. The Vice President apologizes to
the people of West Virginia for the inappropriate remark.

Given the climate, the character and the tumultuous times we are
living in there are only two plausible choices in this election, it
will either be President Clinton or President McBush. Elections are
about counting all the votes, they are not about staging the biggest
rally money can buy in Tampa, to claim victory after a pathetic voter
tally in Kentucky. This is supposed to be an election, not a Madonna
concert, get real, get serious, cut the stage production and count all
the votes, not half of them because it suits the aggressive effort to
appoint Obama.

Obama's candidacy. They plan to put him in a tank, the way they did
with Dukakis, under the caption, 'The Muslim in the Tank'. Why do you
think they have poured millions into his candidacy?
