Ed Naha: 'Mojo men'
Ed Naha
Joe and Georgie sittin' in a tree "D-I-S-S-I-N-G"...us all.
Now, a lot has been written about why Mojo Lieberman lost to upstart Ned
Lamont this past week. Democrats didn't like him because he still supports
the Iraq war, played it safe by running as both Vice-President and senator
in 2000, gave Dead-Eye Dick Cheney a pass during their vice-presidential
debate, back-stabbed Al Gore, decried Bill Clinton on lofty moral grounds,
swapped spit with the Monkey King, jumped on the Teri Schiavo express,
accused the anti-Iraq/Bush citizens of aiding terrorists, saddled up with
the "kill Social Security" posse, wouldn't support Democratic filibusters
against BushCo. Supreme Court nominees and, once again, played it safe by
running for senate re-election as a Democrat with the option, if defeated,
to run as an independent.
For me? It's simple. I don't like Joe because he looks like, talks like and
has all the fiery charisma of the old cartoon character "Droopy Dog." ("Boo.
Helloo, Joe.")
