"The making an enemy a friend, will render God propitious and
favourable towards us, and will easily set us free from our sins."
Pope Shenouda III.

Pray for me as I pray for you.

What happens when the Coptic Church makes its friends into some form of
enemy to justify akribia ?

You still remain my friend, even though you treat me like an enemy (and
have said words to the effect that I am your enemy).

That pope didn't know what he was talking about. Can you explain how
making an enemy a friend would make God propitious? It's easy to quote
a person but to demonstrate he is talking sense is another matter.

From all your quotes you seem to put people above God and His Word.

God is only propitiated by substitutionary the death of His Son, not
by the works of men.

For one we are commanded to do so by our Lord Jesus Christ in His
sermon on the Mountain. "Love your enemies. Do good to those who
despise you."

Also "Those who turn a sinner from his way saves a soul and covers a
multitude of sins."

There are many other examples from the Bible.

It is never hard to demonstrate that this spiritual man talks sense.

That does not propitiate God.

Or: I understand the foundation you are utilizing and reject it for
the wrong that it assumes.

Since Christ took the sins of the whole world and since the whole
world is not saved, you might like to explain how the propitiation
still applies for those who are not saved?
