Coyotes don't do big deer, dear Dora [How's that for alliteration?]
We've got Muleys [Mule Deer] out here in Vacheville - and unless the
there are at least 4 dogs/deer, I'd allways place my bets on the
Muley. Wolves on the other hand . . .

Those citizens most affected, put fencing made with Stucco wire
cages[comes in 4 ft high rolls], around their gardens beds. It's
pretty inexpensive stuff at your nearest Handy-Kind-of-Guy box store.
Some folks have had success with singed pet hair placed around.
