The Jefferson Bible was a cut and paste job in which Thomas Jefferson cut
out passages from the gospels and compiled them together, but left out any
reference to Jesus being the Son of God and of the resurrection. It is
available on the WEB at:

You can also follow the links to the Jefferson Syllabus and read his letters
to Dr. Benjamin Rush and William Short.

Highly recommended is Jefferson's draft of the Virginia Act for Establishing
Religious Freedom. A slightly modified version of it was adopted by the
Virginia state legislature and is still in effect today.
