The global warming alarmists are at it again, shrieking about "ice melt
at the Poles."

"The relentless grip of the Arctic Ocean that defied man for centuries
is melting away," warned Doug Struck in the Washington Post. "The sea
ice reaches only half as far as it did 50 years ago. In the summer of
2006, it shrank to a record low. This summer, the ice pulled back even
more, by an area nearly the size of Alaska."

NASA's James Hansen keeps claiming that CO2 is "pushing the climate past
its tipping point."

British banks are sending "volunteers" to the Arctic to see for
themselves the loss of sea ice, and to view the "endangered" polar
bears-whose numbers have tripled in recent years.

Ho hum. Just another day at the scare factory.

This is my opinion on voting.

November 7, 2008 was National Pick Your Oppressor Day. You can have
your
election fantasies. The whole election circus is owned and operated by
wealthy,
powerful and sinister interests. Lots of people sense this. Elections
are not
the time when people influence the politics of the system. It is the
opposite:
it is a time when the masses of people get indoctrinated in the
policies this
system intends to adopt.

Terry Dunleavy considers New Zealand's fate should it pursue carbon
reduction:

New Zealand produces about 0.2 per cent of the world's man-made
production of CO2. Even if NZ totally eliminated CO2 emissions, the
difference would be to reduce the annual rate of increase in the
atmosphere by 0.2 per cent of 1.5ppm, equalling 0.003ppm which equals 3
parts per billion. This of course is a far lower amount than can even be
detected.

Are we seriously going to shatter our economy, restrict ourselves to a
fragile electricity system, cost every family in the land $1000 to $1500
per year in electricity expenses alone, seriously damage our agriculture
industry, etc. by trying to reduce New Zealand's minuscule CO2
contribution?

Call (515) 271-7364.

Hispanics might be the most visible growing population here in Iowa, but it's
not the only one. Another immigrant group in Iowa has grown even faster the
past year. The African immigrants are still getting used to electricity and
running water.

160 Burundian refugees have resettled in central Iowa in the past year. Back
in 1972, many families escaped the ethnic violence and genocide taking place
in Burundi, and resettled in refugee camps in neighboring Tanzania, another
impoverished country that could provide earth to live on, but little else.

"These families are coming from war-torn countries where awful, awful things
have happened to them. And to be able to be part of an organization that
provides new hope and new life to those individuals is such an honor," said
Jill Stuecker of Lutheran Services in Iowa.

Obama's Marxist Axis of Friends

Barack Obama wishes questions about his associations with Rev. Jeremiah
Wright, Bill Ayers and other radicals would end. But maybe the reason they
won't is that there's a pattern: Marxism. It's not hiding.

When one looks at Obama, it's shocking how radical and anti-American his
closest associates are. Taken separately, the black liberation theology of the
Rev. Jeremiah Wright, or fundraiser William Ayers' unrepentant past as a 1960s
terrorist or Obama's openly pro-Che Guevara volunteers in Houston might be
dismissed.

But taken together, and given Obama's closeness to his friends, it's fair to
ask whether Obama doesn't share their extreme-left views. Yet whenever he's
asked, he gets mad and avoids the issue.
