Climate Charlie Part 2, 18 Months to Save the World
Posted by Paul
May 21, 2008
http://www.jennifermarohasy.com/blog/archives/003083.html
Blog readers may remember Prince Charles' previous climate rantings
during his 'eco-friendly' trip to the West Indies involving a £280,000
per week yacht, when he spoke about the "sheer madness" of climate
scepticism.
Now Climate Charlie is back with a new pronouncement:
The Prince of Wales has warned that the world faces a series of natural
disasters within 18 months unless urgent action is taken to save the
rainforests.
In one of his most out-spoken interventions in the climate change
debate, he said a £15 billion annual programme was required to halt
deforestation or the world would have to live with the dire
consequences.
"We will end up seeing more drought and starvation on a grand scale.
Weather patterns will become even more terrifying and there will be less
and less rainfall," he said.

BRADY BACKGROUND CHECKS AT GUN SHOWS WILL SAVE LIVES
Urge your U.S. Representative to cosponsor bill to close the gun show
loophole
Dear Bob,
Representative Mike Castle (R-DE) has introduced legislation in the U.S.
House of Representatives (H.R. 96) that will require Brady background checks
at gun shows, and stop criminals and other dangerous people from exploiting
these events to buy and sell guns.
We need you to contact your U.S. Representative today and urge him/her to
cosponsor this important bill that would close the gun show loophole. We
want the law to be: "no background check, no gun, no excuses!"

Environmental bad ideas are now beginning to cause food riots around the
world
http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/3139
There is always a point in time when reality steps up to remind everyone
that bad ideas come with a price to pay. The long history of
environmental bad ideas are now beginning to cause food riots around the
world with its campaign for biofuels and against the energy that powers
great economies and feeds the world.
On May 14, Earthworks, one of the many environmental organizations
zealously trying to leave America and the rest of the world cold and
hungry released the text of a letter its attorney, Bruce Baizel, wrote
to Red Cavaney, the president of the American Petroleum Institute.
It called upon API to "stop its multi-million dollar, multi-year
self-promotion campaign aimed at polishing its image during a time of
record high energy prices." Earthworks told API it should take the money
devoted to its PR campaign and invest it in "clean energy alternatives."

Just the mere thought of two guys having "sex" makes me feel very, very
sick!

YES!
Haven't you heard of HIV/Aids????

Dooms day prognosticators are warning of dire circumstances should
Americans elect either Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton, or any
combination thereof.
John McCain, we are warned, is our only hope.
There are those, including this conservative writer, who disagree most
vehemently with the last part of that alleged conventional wisdom. For
example, over at the Conservative Post, Scott Miller has this to say:
"The nomination of a pro-Amnesty, anti-tax cutting, Gitmo-closing,
anti-free speech, gang of 14, eco-commie was the last straw for this
conservative. I decided that after years of frustration watching
Republicans act like mini-Democrats, that enough was enough for me."
Well-said, Mr. Miller, and spot on!
Miller's piece titled, The Destruction of the Republican Party, should
be required reading for anyone who gives a damn about America and the
future of our great nation.

The recent controversy over Canada's refusal to recognize the "Right to
Food", which is another of those dubious "rights" dreamed up by the UN
is illustrative of how most of the world views the West as a fat cow
willing to be milked to death. I'm all in favor of human rights, but it
seems that every week the UN appears to magically discover some new,
previously unknown human right, while simultaneously forgetting about
some human rights it believes to be obsolete.
Hence the freedom of speech, association, belief, religion and security
of one's person seem to be evaporating worldwide and being replaced by
the right to food, the right to kill Jews, the right to take from the
rich and the right of countries to deprive their people of their rights.

A kind of irrational nature worship separates environmentalism from the
more fair-minded approach of conservationism.
http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/la-oe-goldberg20-2008may20,0,3305601.column
QUOTE: "Environmentalism's most renewable resources are fear, guilt and
moral bullying."
QUOTE: "But now it's time to save the environment from the
environmentalists"
I admit it: I'm no environmentalist. But I like to think I'm something
of a conservationist.
No doubt for millions of Americans this is a distinction without a
difference, as the two words are usually used interchangeably. But
they're different things, and the country would be better off if we
sharpened the distinctions between both word and concept.
