Known by some as the "Peace Speech", it's probably the best soeech of
his Presidency. I'd like to see how some would reconcile this speech
with their belief that Kennedy would have escalated the war in
Vietnam.
Also, read it in the context of the present day operations of the US
military overseas.

The last three paragraphs of the Trade Mart Speech. Three times he
mentioned "peace" and once "restraint".
No mention of "war", "escalation" or "fight".
He didn't "fight" in Cuba, he didn't "fight" in Laos, he didn't
"fight" in Berlin.
But he sent troops into Mississippi and Alabama.
I guess you just don't understand his method of defending freedom.
Maybe because you're too busy defending murderers.

Let the lurkers watch the video and we'll see who's stupid and whose
not.
You're suggesting Kennedy LIED to the American people and was truthful
to his cabinet.
And as far as an education goes, weigh what the man DID to what he
said. Kennedy said a lot of things to his cabinet, but when it came
down to crunch time, he chose his brother to deal with the Russians in
the back door channel.
Says something about how he "truthful" he was with his "cabinet". He
cut them out of the loop.
