To avoid this virus/spyware problem - get the latest version of Adobe
FlashPlayer.
Just an FYI to save you the problem friends had today. Non-current Adobe
FlashPlayer / plug-in is subject to redirection, so update to the latest
version. You want to have
Version 9.0.124.0
http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/
They tried to view online flash video and now can do nothing with Internet
Explorer but get redirected to Antivirus2008. name ( or dot anything
else) and it's an ad for " Antivirus2008 ". Looking online - for folks
that paid $50 for that program " to get rid of the pop-up", it does
absolutely nothing ( but give them your credit card info)
BTW Antivirus2008 domain names are registered in Russia

Hi,
I installed a 20G HDD in my Windows 98se computer. With one partition,
I formatted it. The results is 16K byte clusters. With a FAT32 system,
a 32 bit number ("index") can represent around 4.3G. This in effect should
allow around 4 billion clusters maximum.
The major reason for a smaller cluster size is to reduce waste of disk
space. Example, if you wrote a 1K byte file to the HDD, the free space will
be reduced by 16K (15K wasted).
How can I format this 20G HDD in such a way to produce smaller clusters
without adding partitions?
Thanks in advance, Brad
Before you type your password, credit card number, etc.,
be sure there is no active keystroke logger (spyware) in your PC.

Hello everyone,
I'm facing a weird problem with my hard disc.
It's on my notebook (ACER Travelmate 6292) and I have partitioned
it in two, C: for system+program files, D: for saving work. I have
formatted both partitions...

I'd like to connect a USB thumb drive to one of my computer's IDE
ports. It is an older Dell, and the BIOS doesn't give me the option
to boot off USB. I thought if I could connect the thumb drive to the
IDE port, it would fool the computer, and I'd be well on my way to
creating a lower power, very quiet, and secure computer.
If anyone knows of something like this, I'd appreciate hearing about
it. If this is not possible, I'd also be curious about why not. If
it is possible, maybe it's not the great idea I think it is, but it
sure solves my problem.

note- this is not a problem.. it is an information post.
- Most programs use a registry hack to remap keys..swap keys around.
MSKLC lets any key produce any characters.. though it doesn't cover
the function keys.
Any key you can define, can produce 8 characters.
key, shift key
ctrl key, ctrl shift key
ctrl alt key, ctrl alt shift key
caps key, caps shift key
so..
key, ctrl key, ctrl alt key, caps key
is 4
then *2 , since SHIFT.
And regarding caps mode..
IF you do CTRL when in that mode.. I think it turns off caps. Point
is though, there is no option for CTRL when it CAPS.. or CTRL SHIFT
when it caps, e.t.c.
You just have those 8 combinations. Per key that MSKLC lets you
define.

I have an Emachine T2682. It's about 5 years old. Intel Celeron.
Phoenix bios.
I had a tried and tested ghost image of the boot partition handy when
my 80 maxtor died a few days ago. I replaced it with a 300gb maxtor. 3
partitions - 30gb c: ntfs just like the original. 15gb fat and the
rest NTFS.
I restored the boot partition with ghost. But when I attempt to boot
from drive I get Operating System Not found.
I checked pin setttings on the new drive. When I boot to windows 2003
it sees an the OS installed on C:
I now suspect it's the Bios.
Any way around this? Maybe a Phoenix bios upgrade? I have the CD with
drivers from Maxtor and they discuss something about 48 bit
comaptibility an din the bios setup I see enable 32 bit I/O(but not
48 bit).. But how can I apply those to windows or the OS if I can't
boot the OS.
Thanks for any help or information
