  removing Netmeeting & Moviemaker?

Author: Christine Bush
Date: Jan 31, 2008 18:20

I just reinstalled XP and I have Netmeeting and MovieMaker which I didn't
have before. They do not appear in Add/Remove Programs, is there an
unspoken way to safely remove these?

Question about a 2nd video card

Author: Amit Roy
Date: Jan 31, 2008 15:42

Last year I made my first attempt at building a computer. My motherboard is
an ASUS M2N32SLI - Premium Vista Edition. It has 2 x PCIe slots. Back
then I had no idea between nVIDIA and ATI chipsets and I put in an ATI x1650
Pro video card, which was on sale. Now I know I should have put in an SLI
card because it would have allowed me to put in a second card and double
bump the GPU performance. Which brings me to my question: If I put in
another ATI X1650 Pro card in my second PCIe slot will it do anything?
Since I have 2 PCIe slots can I use Crossfire with a second X1650 card? The
card is Crossfire compatible but my motherboard saying nothing about it.
Thanks!

Amit

Beste klant,

newsbin.telenet.be in newsgroups.telenet.be. Verder dien je de authenticatie
op deze nieuwsserver uit te schakelen.

Met vriendelijke groeten,

  connecting printer

Author: S. Smith

I have 2 computers. Dell XPS 410, XP Home Edition. Verizon FIOS.Other pc is
laptop, Dell Inspiron 1521, running Vista and is wireless.
My question is: How can I get the laptop to print to my HP 2575xi which is
connected to my USB 003. I have been told that I should be able to have the
laptop print to the HP. I have been able to use my wireless to get the
laptop onto the internet. I am just stumped on how to print from the
laptop.
TIA

Nothing connected to a power supply must harm that power supply - an
industry standard that applied to computers even long before the IBM
PC existed. A power supply cannot be harmed by its load. All power
supply outputs must be shorted together when supply is powered - and
power supply must not be damaged. Furtthermore, a power supply
failure must not harm motherboard or peripherals. If these damages
occur, then hardware as provided was defective. It makes a warranty
defining these unique failures simple.

I recently received this message for an email I had not sent, yet from

anti-static blunder / keyboard gone haywire / advise?

Author: kplumm
Date: Jan 28, 2008 09:41

It was a bit rash of me, possibly, but I corrected a wrongly-fitting
keyboard in my laptop without looking up any info about anti-static
measures. While the bonnet was up, so to speak, I had a look to see
how easy it would have been to fit my own RAM, having just paid for
that job. apart from my CD drive recently dying - almost certainly
mechanical as I tried all that DMA stuff - the computer usually works
fine, but sometimes the keyboard goes a bit haywire, as if someone is
pressing the Home key while I'm typing. Is this related ot my static
blunder? What can be done to correct this? What should I have done
as an anti-static measure?

I have considered that this keyboard problerm is a virus, but it seems
a very petty symptom, even going by virus-writers' mentality. Thanks
for any feedback. you may ignore the question below, but it is one I
have posted elsewhere about a different problem.

How much RAM can I put in this free slot?

Author: Masroor
Date: Jan 27, 2008 22:47

Dear All,
I have a Dell Optiplex GX620 computer bought about two years back. The
specs are: Intel Pentium 4 EM64T 3.0 GHz processor, 800 MHz FSB, Intel
945G Chipset. There are four DIMM slots. In three slots I have put
already put three RAMs, two 256 MB each, one 512 MB. All are 533 MHz
DDR2.

Computer specification says that the RAM is upgradable up to 4GB. With
only one free slot available, and RAM price going down, I want to use
it to its maximum capability. Now, I can not find out how much maximum
RAM I can put in the free slot? Is it 4GB - (256MB X 2 + 512 MB) =
3GB? Or is it 4GB/4 = 1GB.

Hope I have been able to explain the situation.

Stores over here have a nonrefundable policy. So, I can not simply buy
and experiment.

Can you please tell me maximum how much RAM in the free slot?

Thanks in advance.

How to hook up laptop up to tv

Author: The Webbers Hilltop Cycle ATV

What kind of cable do I need to hook my laptop up to my television ? I
would like to watch instant movies from Netflicks and view them on my
television screen.
I would be hooking it up through a dvd player with rca plugs.
Thanks,
Raz
