Anyone familiar with this ?
I'd like some advice from anyone that has used this successfully to
retiieve data off a dead pc.
I've been trying it to back up a folder and it APPEARS to be hung, but the
gui hasn't changed all day. It WAS copying data slowly and for hours looks
hung. I went to their website and found NO help.
I left them this feedback:
While on vacation my PC crashed and I bought Fix-It Utilities 8 at Best
Buy. Reading the box seemed like just what I needed as the pc was in a
boot loop. After reading the...

I have a neighbor that wants me to tutor her on Excel 2007 -- she really
wants me to do her class, but I think I can get a few of her classmates to
pay for instruction and assistance -- but I have Office XP loaded on all of
my machines, and prefer it to the new version.
Can I install Office 2007 to a separate folder and have two versions of
Office on the same machine? Alternatively, can I install Office to an
external drive and run it from there?
I want to install the new version of MS Office so that I can review the
course work before I am faced with instructing it, but I do not want to
replace the Office that I already have.

What's a good compatible webcam for a 3 yr old iMac (OS 10.4), and
relatively inexpensive (i.e. cheaper than the $130 one on the apple site).
Thanks in advance.

Hi all,
I have an Acer Notebook (2 years old) and a Desktop Computer which I
bought recently.
The Desktop Computer offers in the choice of the Bootup Sequence to
Boot from an USB-drive.
The option to Boot from an USB-drive is not offered by ny Notebook and
the only choices are to Boot from Hard-Disk or CD/DVD drive.
I wrote to Acer to know if they would be offering an upgrade of the
BIOS system to include Booting form an USB-drive, but got no answer
untill now.
I would like to know if it is possible write an upgrade of the BIOS
system to include Booting from an USB-drive and more important how to
proceed.
TIA

I just upgraded a ME machine to XP Home. During Power OFF, the screen tells
me to not unplug or turn off, the machine will do this automatically. But,
when the time comes to actually shut down, the screen reports that it is now
safe to turn the machine off.
Why doesn't the machine shut off on its own?
Its a Celeron 700, and the fact tht it was a Mellineum machine says it is
rather old, but it seems like the technology to shut down through software
should be there.
Thanks,

Hi,
Forgive me for the rather vague subject line; I don't really know how to
classify this problem at all.
Here's what's going on: I was using a 1024x768 resolution. After switching
which drive I boot from (a whole 'nother problem--long story), the computer
seems to think it's got more area than that. For...
