Author: ebcd_support
Date: Aug 7, 2008 05:52

Hello All,

This is a notification about release of new software - Emergency Boot
CD.

Emergency Boot CD (EBCD) is a CD-ROM for booting PC and recovering
data in emergency situations.

EBCD contains file manager, which is able to process files on FAT,
NTFS, EXT3 volumes. All national characters in file names are
displayed correctly and preserved when copied. Long file names (LFNs)
are fully supported, including Unicode LFNs. Builtin editor and viewer
allows you to work with files in any DOS/Windows encodings, and also
UTF-8 and UTF-16.

Using EBCD you can backup your data from fixed disks to any hotplug
device like USB Flash, FireWire removable devices, or other fixed
disks; and restore it when necessary.

EBCD includes Windows Password Wizard, which can be used to restore
access to your PC when you forgot the password for Windows user
account.

  Memory question

Author: Ragnar
Date: Jun 16, 2008 13:17

Looking around for a 512 Mb memory expansion module to double my exisitng
setup, but I need to know, can I use a 333 MHz module in tandem with my
existing 166 MHz? Or should I buy two 333 MHz modules and throw the old one
away? I have checked my motherboard manual and 333 is supported.

Mobo is ASRock K7S41GX
2 DDR DIMM slots, PC2700(DDR333)/PC2100(DDR266) max 2 Gb

TIA
R.

If the NIC card is responding on the mother board you'll see a green light
where the network cable plugs in.

Windows 98 is an old system..are you sure the nic card you tried works with
windows 98?

Inserting DVD causes PC to crash

Author: Keith
Date: Apr 20, 2008 11:10

It doesn't happen every time but about 80%% of the time. When I put a new DVD
into my PC when I am attempting to burn onto it, my PC crashes to a Blue
Screen. I thought it was my DVD write, but have replaced it and the crashes
still occur. Any ideas?
