  Coding guidlines for subcontractors

Author: Charles Calvert
Date: Aug 8, 2008 06:50

All,

I've been using subcontractors a lot more in the last couple of years.
I've been thinking about putting together some coding guidelines,
ranging from things like defensive programming to variable naming
conventions.

Have any of you done this? If so, did you do it for subcontractors?
Any advice to share?

I've been thinking about using a wiki or CMS like Joomla or Drupal to
do it. Has anyone tried that?

Thanks,
--

  Working for wife's LLC..

Author: Mookie Moto
Date: Jul 15, 2008 16:20

My wife has an LLC through which she does some marketing consulting. I
recently got a contract to do some technical consulting and used her
LLC to contract with the company I will be working for.

My question is: what's the best way to have my wife's LLC pay me?
Should I be a W2 employee? Should I be a 1099 employee? Should I be a
partner?

Keep in mind I have a very large federal and state tax debt. I don't
want my tax debts to affect her or her LLC.
