The Power Toys collection includes Tweak UI which, among other things
rids the display of all the cheesy short cut arrows as well as the
shortcut to...... descriptions. What I would REALLY like to do is get
rid of those retarded MY prefixes (ie., *MY* Documents. *MY* Pictures,
*MY* Music, yada yadaa...) Is there a registry tweak that would forever
remove those 'MY's" from my sight? I don't want to upgrade to Vista just
to see a GUI that doesn't have such inane folder descriptions.

I posted this question to alt.windows98, but they seem disinclined to
reply. Among other ulities I use WinCleaner version 8.5.5

After a session it lately shows under the registry check: "Shell Item"

Problem box: Invalid or empty shell action item.

SubKey: hklm\software\cmdfile\shell\open

A google check brings up "W32/Know-a-virus-sophos threat analysis".
Then lists a host of lines similiar to the subkey readout. Only 1 or 2
for Win 98 as I recall.

When I delete this item,it shows up the next check. I would use the
registry restore option but this has been going on for several days and any
backup would have it. I don't know how to proceed further. I'm looking and
hoping for some advise.
