Speedtrap, a feature that combines drivers' tips with Microsoft Virtual
Earth to identify speed traps - either a real, live cop with a radar gun
or one of those damned cameras - throughout the U.S. There's even a few
foreign cities, such as London, Toronto and Rome.
Now, the information can be downloaded directly to portable navigation
devices from Garmin, Mio, TomTom and others via Njection.com so that
drivers can pinpoint speed traps on a given route. Atkinson says the
identity of Njection’s many speed-trap tipsters is kept confidential, and
they include more than a few police officers who like the site because
what "they’re mostly interested in is getting people to drive safely.â€

We had an incident in Washington D.C. metropolitan area a few years ago
where the speed trap cameras sent a fine and a frontal picture of a
vehicle to the perpetrator's residence. When the wife opened the
package she found the husband had been driving somewhere with his
mistress when photographed. Needless to say that case made it to court
for "invasion of privacy" and the cameras were suspended while they
ironed out the situation. I do not know the outcome since I don't live
there and was only visiting parents at the time.

Amazing.
They've got super new Gatsos here now which measure a vehicle's
speed between two points and then send the ticket to those who
got from A to B in less than time than the speed limit allows.

LOL...I think it is funny. My wife has an ALIEN green card. I've flown
around the world hundreds of times and have never seen an alien, or met
any humans not from Earth. From 45,000', I've never seen any dividing
lines drawn in the sand.
