I've searched for a while for a freeware archive history viewer and
have come across programs which crash andmany dead links. Can anyone
point in the right direction for one?

Much obliged.

Many thanks for your reply. I found this one earlier and installed
it. It came up with an error and invited me to send an error report
etc to Microsoft. On your advice I thought I'd download it again.
This time when I open a known good archive I get a run time error '91'
and windows closes it down again.

Sounds like you are running one of these W95, 98, ME & you hav'nt got
VB installed.

When ever you get an error, always put the EXACT error message into
GOOGLE.

If this was it, here is an example.

I just downloaded & installed, it requires a genuine email address, so
I stopped at that point. Don't use MSN & I could see it did'nt find any
MSN or Yahoo accounts, so there was no point going any further.

Other than putting in the hard yards, trying other words in google etc,
I don't know of anything else.

Good one Fred, did do the email thing & all looked OK, was just waiting
until I got a job, that the user had MSN up & running.
