Maybe it's just me, but PCWizard v1.85 and v1.852 hang when I
run them. In fact, I could only cancel it with "What's Running".
Neither task manager or Faber Toys did the trick.
Decided to fall back to v1.84...running under XP SP2.

Try editpadlite ( http://www.editpadlite.com)

Check out this site:
http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=33827
I followed those suggestions to the letter without any problems. Also, I
cleaned up all of, if not most of, the update entries from the Add or
Remove Programs module following these instructions (Method 2):
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Hotfix_backup.htm
It's amazing how much faster the Add or Remove Programs module opens now.
The only reason I posted this here is because so many people in this
group did the SP3 update. Sorry about being this off-topic.

We were using Foldershare, but switched for security reasons to another
option, simple RAID mirroring.
Hard drives are cheap, you can buy a second USB or FireWire HD for the
cost of a few month's subscription to a backup service. MacOS comes with
built-in RAID software which is very sophisticated and easy to use.
RAID has some significant advantages not least of which is that if your
hard drive fails you don't have to do anything right off.
The biggest downside to RAID is that it's still too cheeky for the
average user. We are playing with code to write something simple, mouse
click, done.
RAID (mirroring) works flawlessly, all data is in our possession.
If anyone knows of freeware that would mount a mirroring RAID drive, or
one that we could assist in developing, pop back an answer.
