One thing I liked about Internet Explorer was the ability to save webpages
(including all embedded graphics, etc.) to a single MHT file.
I used to do this in Firefox using the MAF extension. But it was never
updated for Firefox 2, let alone Firefox 3.
But this one looks good -
UnMHT for Firefox
http://www.unmht.org/unmht/en_index.html
Works with FF3.

How can I create a ringtone from an MP3 song using freeware?
And, how do I get that ringtone onto my AT&T (Cingular) Motorola RAZR V3
cell phone?

What other forums/wikis are out there for general discussion of freeware?
You know, "I need something that will do this ..." or "I found this, here's
what it does" etc.
I remember somebody on this group had a pointer to a wiki other than
acfwiki, haven't been able to dig that up again.
Here's my list so far:

I use http://news.motzarella.org/ as my news server.
I also use Outlook Express as my reader.
The good:
Free
Provides some pretty good spam filtering. This group becomes much more
readable.
The bad:
Downloading is slow. I don't really care as it is still certainly useable.
The really bad (reason for this post):
There is a noticeable delay of about 2 seconds when I click to expand a
thread. During this time, cpu useage for Outlook Express spikes to 50%%. If
I select a group of messages then right click and select "download message
later" and then go to tools, "synchronize newsgroup", Outlook Express again
spikes to 50%% cpu useage and remains there for perhaps 2 to 5 minutes.
Normally after about 30 sconds the download begins and takes a little time
to complete. But once it's completed, cpu useage remains at 50%% and does so
for a couple of minutes. During this time, OE is unuseable (like an
explorer crash). It does work its way out of this if I let it be and OE
then returns to normal.

I did some tests with AllwaySync concerning the folder Syncapp that it
creates when it synchronizes folders. When you create a job say
[G:/syncfolder to C:/syncfolder], the only folder that AllwaySync puts a
Syncapp folder in, is the first folder in the job (G:/sycnfolder in this
case.) C:/syncfolder does not get such a folder.
IOW, only the first location in a job gets the Syncapp folder with the
single XML file in it.
The allegation that AllwaySync Portable puts a hidden folder on a company
computer was incorrect when used from a USB drive, unless he mismanged the
job set up.

"I don’t know if you ever tried (or had an urge to try) Ubuntu Linux. I
installed it a year or so ago, and was massively (sorta) unimpressed. It
definitely showed promise, but the installation was a PITA, and the
interface just wasn’t quite ready for prime time. You had to download an
ISO, burn it, then install — blah, blah…
A couple of days ago, I read about WUBi (on Lockergnome, of course). Ever
willing to try something new, if it’s not too much trouble, I downloaded
the installer, clicked on the default setting, and went off to read some
Janet Evanovich. Then I went to bed. (The installer downloads a 600+ MB
ISO file, and the servers were running slow that night.)
I promptly forgot about the whole thing. This morning I decided to
reboot, and lo and behold! I was given the option of automatically
booting into XP Pro, or into Ubuntu. Sumbitch! I selected Ubuntu and hit
“Enter.” Stuff happened. Finally I was asked to enter a username and
password. I did. BINGO! A Linux desktop appeared. I have a dual-boot
machine, with — literally — four clicks including running the installer.

I'm using treepad lite at the moment and would like to have the ability to
attach pictures to each node.
Is there anything like that in freeware ?
Thanks.
