This has always been a great newsgroup. For a while now, I see increasing
#'s of spam email coming in such as "Hot porn movies watch cool!!!" ( I
chose something rather tame to quote.) This type of stuff will ruin our
newsgroup as it is doing to many others. Newsgroups have been an invaluable
source of info to me but I foresee this disappearing as this spam
encroaches. It's so easy for someone motivated by the almighty dollar to
flood the internet with unwanted email.

I don't know the answer except perhaps we need monitors, editors, screeners,
censors, moderators, or whatever we might call them to keep the place clean
and directed to the topic. If someone enjoys porn, so be it, but wouldn't
it be nice if you confined yourselves to a unique area.....I won't bother
you, please don't bother me. My words will fall on deaf ears of those who
do this.
