MAXA Text-2-EXE
With MAXA Text-2-EXE you can hide your serial numbers, passwords, phone
numbers and everyday notes in a safe place. Your information will be
protected using MAXA Crypt SE with a 256 Bit AES encryption algorithm.
MAXA Text-2-EXE allows to save text encrypted as executable file. It looks
like a normal text editor but can save your text encrypted in the
executable itself. If you want to securely distribute the text, you only
have to send the file and the receipient will be able to decrypt the text
only with the password.

Recent requests are noted for a freeware Printer Driver to [Photo]
Image, and at least one now exists from SourceForge.
ImagePrinter 1.41 .. found at:
http://tinyurl.com/47ehuw
Just downloaded it and tried it a few times; works as well as two other
commercial/shareware products, with the added option of saving to a
choice of several photo formats .. JPG, BMP, TIFF, etc. My first trials
happened to be a multi-paged MS Word .DOC file with photos. The entire
document was saved in a series of several .JPG pictures; one for each
.DOC page.
I'm happy.

Virtualize This: The Pleasures of a Virtual PC
Virtualization software is ideal for trying out new software--and
keeping your real PC clean.

I like trying out lots of new software. But when I uninstall a
stinker, I know it is probably leaving behind chunks of code that will
bog down my system over time. So lately I've been trying out new
programs on a virtual machine.
A virtual machine (VM) is essentially a stand-alone virtual PC--
complete with its own operating system and applications--that runs
inside the operating system of your real-world hardware. A VM accesses
the processing, memory, storage, graphics, and audio resources of that
hardware, but doesn't own it. It's a software creation, easily
disposed of when you are done experimenting with apps you have
installed.

I pulled out my old DLExpert and queued up some files but I see that
there doesn't seem to be a way to queue the files up so that they just
dl one by one. In the past when I used it, I was on dialup and I was
only downloading "large" files once in a blue moon. With today's dl
needs, I find that it would be nice to have a dl mgr like DLExpert but
to have a "true" queuing process where each dl finished _before_ the
next one starts.
Unless there's something I'm really missing in DLExpert, it seems to
want to dl everything at once, which is not good.
Can anyone recommend anything? My Firefox dl extension also does the
same thing. tix :)

Anybody had any luck converting SWF files (both audio and video) to a WMV
or anything else a typical media player will play?
Tried SUPER, always got an error message. Tried Pazera FLV to AVI - ended
up with an audio only AVI.
I want to convert an SWF so a friend can view it. She can't install
anything on her work computer, but I think she could play back a WMV or
AVI.
Thanks for any help.
