Channel 20 in Washington, D.C. (WDCA-TV) used to run Marx Brothers
marathons every New Year's Eve back in the late 70's/early 80's. It
would always be the MCA/Paramount package, with LOVE HAPPY thrown in as
well.

Does anyone know if any stations will be showing a Star Trek marathon?
(TV series)

It's one of the few chances I get to see the hour-long episodes from
season 4.
The best part of the marathon is that they show some episodes uncut.
The worst part is that they don't show them all that way.

With all the TV shows, many the complete series, released, or soon to
be on DVD,
classics like, Twilight Zone, Andy Griffith, M*A*S*H, Dick Van Dyke,
Star Trek, and so on, some day we will no longer need commercial
television.

Didn't WGN-TV (channel 9 Chicago) used to do this way back when? I miss
them.

That's certainly the trend and why advertisers use "product placement"
in films and TV shows. Probably cheaper than paying milllions for TV
ads.
Keep your eyes open and you'll see all kinds of products strategically
placed in your favorite TV shows and movies.
Check out this link with a blurb about product placement in Love Happy:

WGN would have a classic comedy festival every New Years Eve,
Marx Brothers, W.C. Fields, Laurel & Hardy, Abbott & Costello...
This was an annual event for over a decade.
Anyone who grew up in Chicago in the sixties and seventies saw
Classic films all the time, every day you could find at least one.
Thank goodness for DVD'S, you can relive those memories.
I really miss the old WGN, before it became the "Crappy W.B".
