Hi guys!
I'm in italy , i recently acquired two mm5 and one TI1 jukeboxes.
I know that people are selling service manual, but i'm asking if there's
someone that own it , that can point me to a download of a pdf file , or can
scan just the theory of operation.
I was looking for sites with caroussell and theory of operation, nut
nothing.
Thank you in advance.

Value of a nice project AY160U?

Author: barnhart_pinball

Debating on selling my AY160U. It's in really nice condition, but the amp
doesn't work (all tubes light up, that's about it) and picks up a record
every so often (otherwise cruises back and forth). All lights work, glass
is excellent, chrome is good. Has a few initials carved into one side
(nothing bad or that noticable, but also on medallion). All lights work.
Even has a package of new needles in the cabinet.

If you know what you're doing with these Tube units - would have an
excellent machine. I have WAY too many projects, looking to thin the herd a
bit. I already have a working STD160 w/wallbox.

Any idea?

Mitch :)

  Seeburg CV Extension Speaker Polarity

Author: spoolframe

Hello,
For the first time ever, I am finally installing an extra two speakers
to my Seeburg VL. They are placed in another room, away from the
jukebox. I am using some generic Radio Shack 70 volt CV transformers,
wired to some Bose speakers.
What I was wondering is does anyone know what the polarity is between
the A tap and B tap on the amplifier that runs the extension
speakers. I have wired them both ways, and it sounds good each way.
But my imagination may be tricking me when I think I have slightly
better bass response when the positive lead to the transformers comes
from terminal A. Does anyone know for sure if A is positive, and
termonal B is negative?

Thanks much.

Do any of you have stories from your vendor days?

Author:

Hi all,

I just signed up to this group. I've always enjoyed jukeboxes.
Unfortunately, I wasn't old enough to take part in the vending business and
mantinance of them (ex. changing records, repairing, etc.). That would've
been a fun job.

I'd like to hear from those of you who were in this business back in the
record (and even CD) days. What was it like to haul a bunch of new
records/CD's to a bar or restaurant and change the selections? Did you show
up early before they were open for business or would you be there with
people around wondering what you were doing? Any horror stories you'd like
share (like, did a jukebox go haywire and bust up a bunch of discs, or a
terribly worn needle trashing records, or heavy cigarrette smoke on
records)? Who had a favorite record that was in the box that you couldn't
take out?

I'm sure there's plenty of jukebox related stories out there and I'd really
like to hear them.

Thanks,
TheRollingRocker
