I roast oppositely, favoring a grinder that doesn't always grind to
talcum powder consistency as well with light roasts. At times a nice
option to know I can go as fine as I want without locking up burrs...

Good for them. And good for premium coffee growers
all over the world. Coffee prices may go up as Korea
buys more, but coffee is too cheap anyway. This will
help coffee growers, especially premium coffee growers,
get a fair price for their beans.
Vietnam will always have a market for their coffee.
We don't have to worry about them. As long as coffee
is sold pre-ground in cans, somebody is going to be
buying that crap. More likely, even Vietnam will move
toward higher-end coffee someday.

"A tea blend can become the signature of one's style, or that of an
entire restaurant chain, in the same fashion as one might favor Kona
coffee over French Roast."
Advertising copy from S&D Coffee of Concord, NC and Munson
Machinery Company of Utica, NY that appears in this month's Coffee
Talk magazine.
Bernie (favoring Costa Rica over City Roast)

Quoth lavarock7 mypacks.net>:
| WOW, lots of rain yesterday. Parts of Oahu were really flooded.
|
| Here in the Kona district of the Big Island we had constant rain from
| about 2pm continuing all night. Of course it started just after I
| sprayed weed killer around the farm.
|
| Flash flood watch continues for the state of Hawaii.
We just got back from the islands, arrived during that rain episode.
Someone was saying something about 15 inches in one hour?
I don't think it was that bad where we were, south shore Kauai, but
it sure came down, especially during the nights - worst in years,
they were saying. But it sweetened up after a few days, and then
when we had to return to Seattle, they cancelled our connecting
flight from Honolulu - snow. Worst in years, they were saying.

Dunno. Never based my coffee decisions on giveaways. Now maby if it
was AutoCad that might change. But I'm sticking with SmithFarms.
