Don't you find it just a little curious that Apple products are such a
small percentage of the overall computer market....even in those Apple
glasses you're wearing?
I'm sure the same people buying iPhones will love the Air appliance. But,
somewhere around 90%% of the personal computer software ISN'T written to run
on it. That, alone, is reason enough to NOT buy one. People buy computers
compatible with the SOFTWARE they want to run, not because it's 2mm thick,
has no battery you can change without factory service, and is cute as hell.
As with all proprietary Apple products, I think you'll find more than a
"few detractors". I'm not sure what percent are Apple users, but compared
to Micro$oft, it isn't even worth mentioning.

While Apple sales may be relatively small compared to the entire Wintel
PC market, that Wintel PC market is fragmented among a large number of
players. Apple is in the top 10 personal computer vendors along with
Dell, HP, et al.

larry, don't make us laugh. apple has always owned the upper end of the
computing market, today is no different. so what if apple only has 6%% of
the market, it's still the most advanced portion of the market, so it
doesn't matter.

what? the MacBook Air runs any software made today. In fact, it runs
MORE software than any PC or Laptop built. Apple builds "universal"
machines, nobody else can do that.
