First, it's thinner and smaller, which is why it's sometimes called a
"mini HiPhone."

  Certificate to Operate

Author: cicb
Date: Aug 5, 2008 22:44

The crane operators receive training and authorization from their
companies to operate a crane before they are considered qualified to
do so. It establishes a standard for crane operator training and
certification for both general industry and construction.

A competency-driven crane operator certification will lead to a
higher level of safety for all workers on a construction site and the
general public. For employers, this adds up to savings in both
compensation expenditures and in related indirect costs such as lost
productivity, damaged equipment and recruiting replacement staff.

The operator will be given a crane operator certification as well as
an action plan by which to increase the skill level. This process is
designed not to put anyone out of work but to bring everyone up to a
common minimum standard. This may result in an operator not being able
to perform certain types of lifts without proper supervision until a
re-assessment has been successfully completed. The assessment will be
retaken once the applicant has addressed the defined issues and is
confident that they are now ready for re-assessment. This is
applicable for both the theory and practical assessments.

How To Build Something From Nothing?

Crane Operator is probably between the tool pusher and the driller. He
runs the roustabouts, and runs the crane as well. Crane operators work
an average of 37 hours a week, usually Monday to Friday. Their working
day can involve early mornings and late finishes. Although operators
work inside the crane cab, they are exposed to varied weather
conditions and temperatures. The work can be strenuous and involves
working at heights. Operators must be fit. But before to be able to
work as an operator they should have at least a crane operator
license, in every crane operator they possess a license in that way
they can operate a crane. No specific academic qualifications are
required, although knowledge of vehicle engineering and grades in
English, maths and technology may be an advantage. Entrants...

Thinking of another provider, any suggestions?

Author: R. Dave Lambert

I am thinking of getting another cell provider. I have been on a Fido
monthy plan [no contract] for 4 years. However I have been unable to
read my monthly statements for over a year now. And cannot even access
my account on line since they 'updated' the web site.
Are there any problems with Fido when you change providers?
Any suggestion for a 'good' Canadian provider?
Many thanks.
