new digital planroom - share design plans safely online

Author: MyConstructionDocuments
Date: Sep 15, 2008 10:57

Hi. If I am out of line porting this here, please let me know as I am new to
this.

My company is rolling out a "digital planroom" - a design & construction
document management system that can be easily used on the web. A place
where contractors, architects/engineers and subs can all access shared plans
and documents in a very easy way. The client administrator controls who can
access which project plans.

I welcome you all to give the website a review and help me out by letting me
know what you think and if this is something you might use. Save gas, time
and printing costs!

Here's the website:

Many thanks!

  building stairs on steep rock

Author: nicklang907

Hi,

I live in Canada (Quebec) and am wondering about building a small
staircase on a steep part of our land. The steep part is not too
long... maybe 10 feet, and it consists of soil with trees growing out
and i think there is rock under the soil. Basically what I'm
wondering is... how do you make stairs to cross this steep part?

I thought the best way would be to drill through the soil and then a
bit into the rock and set posts in concrete and then connect the
stairs to these posts. Is this feasible? Can any recommend books and/
or tools that would help with this?

Thanks!

Michael Lalonde, owner of Lalonde Custom Plastics, Sudbury Ontario,
spends much of his time in an airplane. But he is not flying, he is
working on the interior of the plane and applying everything he has
learned in life to get the job done.

Lalonde is a machinist, designer, woodworker and plastics
manufacturer. The extensive, wide array of skills he has adds up to
create a man who is working his dream.

"I am doing something I have always wanted to do," says Lalonde. "It
is a dream come true."

Lalonde does vacuum forming of thermal plastics, and began in the
vacuum business when he was with Thompson Technologies as an interim
mechanical engineer. The company brought in a vacuum machine and asked
Lalonde to operate it.

"Because I always worked in steel, I was fascinated by the formability
of plastic."

Architect and Builder Document Management
Offering architects, engineers, builders and subcontractors seamless
document sharing.

Create projects and controls user access to projects
Architects and engineers upload construction documents
Subcontractors download project documents
Email project "subscribers" regarding changes to a project
http://myconstructiondocuments.com/

With MyConstructionDocuments.com, consider your blueprint distribution
process automated. It is designed for an effortless and protected flow of
documents between architects, builders, subcontractors and other
construction document consumers.

Automate your blueprint distribution process
In the past, builders would travel to get the blueprints from the architect.
Subcontractors would need copies to bid off so each subcontractor would need
a blueprint which meant more traveling.

Then the inevitable changes would be made which meant the entire blueprint
distribution process would have to be done again.
