My daugther loved the Terhune books I ordered for her last fall (she's
really into dogs right now). The James Herriot books were a little too
hard for her last year, but it's probably time to try them again (All
Creature Great and Small, All Things Bright and Beautiful, All Things
Wise and Wonderful, and The Lord God Made Them All).

  A drive-by Ogre-ing

Author: Tristaan
Date: Jan 15, 2007 13:25

The tavern of the Ogre, Elf, Imp and Urchin, while running on
automatic due to the diligence of the simian work-force, seems
rather... empty, without the proprieters.

But tonight, for some reason, there's a sense of presence in the
room. The denizens look up from the chocolate hot tubs, their
discourse on various events of the day, their various autho-holic
drinks and wonder, what's different?

Someone finally notices the bar-tender. For months, the
simulcrum had done his duty, creating the drinks and keeping
things running. Personality was absent and it was most
definitely a phantom person doing the duty. But today...

...he winks.

Tristaan (I MAY be back)
