The title of P.G. Mathew's sermon makes the topic quite clear concerning
Jesus' second coming sometime in the future and how glorious it shall be.
May God bless,
Carl

The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ
by P.G. Mathew
"But now [Christ] was manifested once for all at the end of the ages for
the purpose of canceling sin by the sacrifice of himself. Just as man is
appointed to die once, and after, judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to
bear the sins of many. And he will appear a second time without sin, [that
is, not to deal with sin] but for salvation of those who are eagerly waiting
for him." - Hebrews 9:26b-28, author's translation

Unfortunately, Carl, the text of the bible, and particularly Jesus
himself, was quite clear that this event was supposed to happen during
the lifetimes of the disciples. I point you especially to Matthew
chapter 24.

How do you know that the event didn't happen to anyone?

Gal 1:6-12
6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you
by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel- 7 which is
really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into
confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we
or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we
preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9 As we have already said,
so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what
you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!
10 Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to
please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant
of Christ.
11 I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something
that man made up. 12 I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it;
rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.
May God bless,
Carl

How come you posted in your original post to : alt.bible,
alt.christnet, alt.christnet.bible, alt.christnet.christianlife,
alt.christnet.theology, free.christians, but want the follow-up to go
to only ACT.
If you really want that, then why not just post to ACT to begin with.
Hard to believe that you would seriously think all those in the other
groups only wanted to read your words in the first of this thread and
not respond so others, including themselves, in the other groups could
take part in the discussion.
Hard to take you and your advice seriously when you yourself do not -
sign of a troll or a child.
Using google groups web page, can only reply to 5 groups, so did not
reply to free.christians
