QVCs Programming & Promotion team has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to become a Promotion Manager - Product Promotion reporting to the Manager Positioning & Promotion at our Studio Park/Global Headquarters location in West Chester, PA.

QVC is retail with a twist. Were live TV 24/7 - we can see in an instant how our customers are responding to our products! Creating success requires being plugged into the latest trends, knowing our customer and thinking strategically.

The successful candidate will:

• Be responsible for driving and creating the daily on-air promotion for power promos and key items.  
• Coordinate all information, resources and people necessary to create power promo promotion. Schedule and control dedicated broadcast time to air Power Promos and Key Items.
• Determines visual concept and direction for production of promotions and provides feedback to the live broadcast crew to direct and fine tune execution.
• Establish strong relationship with senior level management in Merchandising, Planning, TV Sales and Broadcasting for the purpose of sharing feedback and brainstorming.
• Oversees the production of power promo video and daily promotions (Daily Specials). Performs duties according to company policy and procedure with consistent latitude for independent judgment and initiative.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Directs and creates marketable sales messages to drive viewer ship and sales for 3 to 6 of the most important products of each day on QVC.
• Coordinates technical production and live broadcast activities for each products promotion.
• Highly accountable to senior management (including the CEO) and vendors for entire process.
• Generates and maintains assignment calendar for Copywriters and Intern(s).  
• Manages vacation/absence coverage for Team of Writers, Associate Producer & Intern(s).
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism, Advertising or related field required, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Experience:  5-7 years professional promotion and/or advertising experience required, including 3-5 years of management experience and/or directing a creative team.

• Superior written and verbal communication, public speaking, and negotiating skills
• Very high level of creativity and concept development skills
• Superior time management skills, the ability to meet strict deadlines, and work under pressure
• Superior proofreading skills; ability to edit and direct copy
• Must have portfolio of work that includes print and TV (retail, broadcasting, and direct marketing)
• TV, directing, and post production skills required
• Effectively lead creative teams
• Budget management
