QVCs Marketing Administration has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to become a Manager, Advertising and Copy in the Creative Services Department at our Studio Park location. Reporting to the Director of Creative Services, guide and maintain accountability for art direction and production of advertising. Monitor and develop the brand image as it relates to advertising, design and related materials. Also guide and maintain accountability for writing of all advertising and design projects (including print and television advertising, print collateral, occasional show opens and on-air promos, corporate videos/films). Manage, motivate and expand creativity of art directors, writers and producers within the department and establish a positive creative environment. Perform duties according to company policy and procedure with some latitude for independent judgment and initiative.
• Develop advertising strategies and design concepts that support the brand, increase sales and viewership and support business goals.
• Focus on priority projects such as larger budget cross-channel commercials and high-visibility advertising.
• Manage brand integrity from advertising and copy perspective of all materials produced.
• Effectively delegate, plan and organize workflow of staff and plan for future needs of the department.
• Refine processes, leverage resources and build in efficiencies to maximize the productivity of the department.
• Research and conceptualize internal and external advertising and collateral material.
• Partner closely with internal "clients" for strategy and information, and with other members of the department for concepts and completion of the assignment.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelors degree in Advertising or other related field or equivalent business experience.
• Experience: Seven to ten years of advertising agency experience preferred. Including three to five years of management experience and or directing a creative team.
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXpress, MS Word etc.
• Ability to art direct photo shoots, direct commercial shoots and edits required. Experience directing on-camera talent also essential.
• Must be able to submit a Portfolio of work that includes print ads and TV (preferably both retail and image).
• Ability to edit and direct copy.
• Excellent oral and written communication, public speaking and negotiating skills.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
• Ability to travel frequently.
