Description: Req No. 867BR Job Title Instrument and Equipment Tech Employment Status Full Time Location US-PA-Allentown Organization Technology (all except Elect/High Temp/Advanced) Job Description and Qualifications Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, has an immediate opening for an Instrument Equipment Technician for our Instrument and Equipment Technology (IET) Instrument Calibration Team at our Corporate Headquarters in Allentown, Pennsylvania. If you are an Instrument Technician who enjoys: .Team Leadership .Electronic Instrument Repair & Calibration .Safety Leadership .Learning/Teaching .Continuous Improvement .Teamwork Then the Air Products Instrumentation and Equipment Technology (IET) Team has an opportunity for you. As the IET Instrument Calibration team lead you will provide instrument support for the companys North American Operations Plants and Research Laboratories. You will develop your gas analyzer application & troubleshooting skills, grow your leadership skills, make improvements to team work processes, and contribute to the development of new technologies. This is a hands on opportunity to work with a very experienced team in our onsite Calibration Shop. You will be able to pursue your interests in a broad range of disciplines that include: .Instrumentation & Controls .Gas Analyzer Theory (Oxygen, Flammable gas, CO2, Moisture) .Pressure Transducer Calibration .Pressure Relief Valve Calibration .Laboratory Scale Flow Meter Repair/Calibration .Electronics Troubleshooting .Product Evaluation .Safety

Qualifications: Associates Degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent technical training with 5 - 10 years instrument calibration and team leadership experience. Demonstrated history of strong leadership and organization skills is required. Strong MS Office and Database skills are required. Experience with Continuous Improvement tools a plus.
