Performance Testing Engineer

Job Description:

The Performance Testing Engineer will be primarily responsible for
developing and maintaining tools used in automated performance testing
of IronPort's email and web appliances; executing and triaging
performance tests; working with development to resolve performance
issues; and publishing benchmarks and sizing documents. The
Performance Engineer will possess a strong background in QA and
engineering, with extensive experience identifying and resolving
performance issues in a UNIX environment. The performance testing
process is collaborative, and as such the position requires strong
organizational and people skills.

Required Experience and Skills: * Must have 3 year professional
experience developing and executing performance tests. * Expert
command of some UNIX variant; able to perform minor system
administration duties * Working knowledge of Python, Perl or other
object scripting language * Strong knowledge of networking debugging *
Working knowledge of Routing, DNS, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, SSH and Telnet *
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Must utilize
these skills to communicate effectively across all groups in the
organization. * Demonstrated experience in debugging scripting and
object oriented code * Proven track record of delivering quality in a
highly available, scalable environment * Eagerness to learn new
technologies/skills * Experience testing Email or HTTP
