A leading developer of motion control systems needs a senior product
manager to be responsible for their Industrial Actuator product line.
This position:
o. Directs the development of company market requirements for Servo
and Industrial Actuator product lines, including product strategy
definition, requirements analysis, and pricing.
o. Monitors the development of business plans, managing lifecycles,
and product positioning in the marketplace. Reduces broad concepts and
business strategies into structured product marketing plans.
o. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity, and
identifies customer needs. Establishes pricing strategies.
o. Interacts with engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance
existing product(s) or product line(s). Leads new product definition
and business plans with joint departments.
o. Regularly interacts with senior management on matters concerning
several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.

Market Development Manager.
This position requires both of the following:
o. Experience as a successful industrial automation senior sales
professional. Direct sales experience of industrial motion control
systems, direct drive linear motors, stages, gantries, etc.
o. Proven experience teaching other technical sales professionals. You
enjoy and excel at transferring sales knowledge to other people.
You should be a "highly effective hunter coupled with the ability to
teach others how to fish."
Duties:
You will be responsible for initiating and leading programs to drive
business unit's growth for assigned products within the Midwest. Major
activities include
o. Serving as the lead technical salesperson for primary assigned
products, sales planning, product launches, and training sales
engineers.
