The stick on my '92 legacy is making noises as if it needs grease. The
shifting is loud. Is there a way to somehow manually grease it or is it
all sealed up. I looked under the rubber boot but saw that I would most
likely have to remove part of the console too. I don't want to do this if
there's nothing that can be done under there.
Thanks,
Wayne

Any thoughts as to what 30,000 mile service should cost?

Hi,
This is from Australia down under, just bought myself a pre-owned '97
Subaru Liberty. History of car was good, no major faults, accidents.
Unfortunately I was over eager and used the car (not too heavily)
without having checked all fluid levels. This afternoon, I found a
huge puddle on the road presumably dripping from the undercarriage.
Does anyone know if driving on a empty reservoir + radiator tank cause
the pipe from the bottom of the car to pop? Because its backflowing
and siphoning fluid the wrong direction?
The puddle on the floor was a clear fluid and odourless. I crawled
under the car to snap a picture but unfortunately cant post it here.
The fluid was dripping from a "hose" which seemed like it was supposed
to be connected somewhere, but also seemed too short.
Im completely lost without my dad.

the deakership manager andlet them know you were ripped. Tell him you
will call the local Trouble shooter on TV if he wont doanything and
post this everywhere .

Hi
I'm approaching 57K miles on my WRX. I hit all of the service points
up to now without many big issues - just the usual stuff (brakes,
tires etc). The biggest issue was a problem with the cruise control -
it was engaging the throttle when idle in traffic and this burnt the
clutch to a higher degree around 42K. This was intermittent and
finally came to a head sitting in traffic in central Philadelphia. I
have to lift my foot a fair bit higher than before on the clutch for
it to engage...
Anyway back to the service. Is there anything in particular I should
be looking for regards this make/model of car? I think I should be
getting a new clutch, but is this something that will be checked for
this service? I helped a friend with a new clutch/transmission in his
racing Miata a few years ago and that was a fairly big job.
Thanks, Brian
