Mercedes Defective seat memory module power drain W203 C-Series
Anyone with C-Class 2001-2006 problems with regard to Memory Module in the
Seat and the power drains arrising from this defect can join in a joint
effort to have MB cover the costs of repairs for these items. I have an 03
c320 and an 02 320 both with these faults and repairs escalated to over
$2000 for both seats. If you are having powerdrains as a result of this,
your battery will drain quite quickly leaving you in a dangerous unstartable
position. If you dont have a boost, I would not take the vehicle anywhere
far with out battery back up provisions such as a gel battery. The only
temporary fix for this flaw is to remove fusing to both seat memory modules.
If you wish to join in a jopint action against MB please eMail

Look up your manual. Its not easy to read but you will find the reset
procedure in somwhere in the service or interior chapter.

GM just made it known that they lost 39 billion in 2007, the largest
ever annual loss for a US automaker.
The big three are losing money, and if we don't give them the support
they need, they are going to go under. Consider buying an American
car.
Here are some American models recommended in the 2007 Consumer Reports

Hi,
I have just got it for a week. Still can believe I own Mercedes-Benz. My
sixth car (VW Beetle '68, Subaru Legacy '93, Ford Taurus '93, Subaru
Impreza '02, Subaru Outback '02) is E320T 4Matic '00. I bought it of
course used, 90K miles, well maintained, first owner and spend less then
$10G.
As with my other cars and the bike I am looking for related USENET
groups and good on-line forums. This is what I found so far:
1)USENET
-alt.auto.mercedes
-alt.autos.mercedes
2)forums:
not sure which USENET group got more traffic or is alive at all, I am
xposting for now. Also which forum would be most useful for someone who
want o find solid source of information.
Any recommendations?
