New here, looking for some guidance.. My neighbor gave me above named
3 wheeler, needed recoil rope, carb cleaning and not much else.
Started okay, ran "okay".. bought Japanese carb kit and replaced 2
screws in the side, needle in the tube and 1 of the 2 "jets?" in the
bottom inside the bowl. Original needle had 5 slots, new one had 4,
put the clip on second on up from bottom where the original was and
they looked the same. After replacing all parts, set two adjustment
screws to 1/2 turn out and after about 100 pulls it finally started.
Runs "okay"..
I'm 170 pounds give or take and this is just a kids toy machine, but
I'm expecting a little more out of it than I'm getting. It seems the
low end is rough running, but once the rpms pick up it goes like a
mother.
Now my question.. Is there a standard procedure for setting your
tuning to keep the power at the bottom end more. It's a 4 speed and I
can get it to wind out in 2nd, but third just dogs.. I know it's only
a 70 but I think there's more power there that I'm not getting.
Looking forward to learning something.. this is my first ATV ;)
