... we might say exists would be a matter of "linguistic convention," the qualifer seems superfluous. All qualifiers are a matter of linguistic convention. As are all propositions. One *might* infer that dangerous bus driver (although the dangerous is superfluous) illegally rammed a tram before mounting a pavement and wreaking havoc. A car driver saved the day by selflessly sacrificing his car to stop the carnage, unfortunately it was too late to save a...

...even say (as a matter of linguistic convention) that its conceptual objects 'exist'. Since anything we might say exists would be a matter of "linguistic convention," the qualifer seems superfluous. We need say nothing more than this, and there is no need to postulate metaphysical objects that correlate with such conceptual objects (conceptual objects serve their purpose well ...

...surprise to anyone? Gollum + law = fuckup appears to be just as reliable a guide as Gollum + maths = fuckup and Gollum + science = fuckup. ... it's "lay up" insurance. Cite?. Any policy documentation. AFAIK, Ins Co's don't require you to have a valid driving licence. Only that you have held, or are not disqualified from holding the appropriate licence. Wrong. It's HOLD, not held. You have to have a current licence. If that were true it would make the last part of the sentence superfluous. Mike.
