The passage in fact is Paul attempting to justify assertions he is making
that are obviously full of crap. Pauls aim was to paganise Christianity -
he did so with stories he claimed were told him by the "Risen Christ" -
itself a figment of his imagination
Paul was a liar through and through - and the early Christians in fact
realised it and opposed him
To which Paul gave answers such as the truly daft one you quote.
