We're all pretty familiar with the story surrounding the discovery of the
Dead Sea Scrolls whereby a cave was discovered by a shepherd looking for his
lost goat. Despite the particular cave appearing to be inaccessible (half
way
up a near vertical cliff face), the shepherd is alleged to have thrown a
stone into the cave whereupon he heard the sound of shattering pottery. (Ok,
so be it.)

I've just watched a documentary on ancient Egypt whereby an ancient tomb was
discovered, guess what, by a shepherd looking for his lost goat. (now just a
minute here...)
In the same show yet another discovery was made by man seeking, in this
case, his lost
donkey. It is alleged the donkey was found staring at a dark hole full of
mummies. (Ok, I'm not buying any of this.)

If you buy any of these stories, I've got some land in New Orleans for sale

During my search for accompanying links I came across a link indicating I'm
not alone in my doubt as to the authenticity of these stories.

If the stories are fraudulent, what else is?
