interestingly enough, the word " Atheist " appears in the Bible but
once, and is found in Eph. 2:12 and rendered in English...
" without God. "
what this term " without God " means is explained by the words of
Jesus Christ who said... " you do not believe because you are not of
My sheep. " Joh. 10:26
it's not that the Atheist doesn't want God, it's that God doesn't
want him. his unbelief is the result of being passed by for
salvation. note what God has to say through His people about those
whom He's passed by...
" The boastful shall not stand in Your sight; You hate all workers
of iniquity. " Ps. 5:5
" God judges the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every
day. " Ps. 7:11
it is apparent that the Bible does not teach " God loves everybody "
as the modern day Evangelical types like to portray Him. God hates
the wicked and their ways as these two verses, and many more,
indicate.

You fucking idiot - he has passed by EVERYONE for salvation. According
to the mythology, we start out all of us damned for eternity, unless we
are "saved" by some mysterious process that only the high robes of each
religion are privy to. But since no one knows what the hell he is
talking about, we are all doomed.
