That's both why and because he's a Christian - the two go together. It
also makes him a cowardly, bullying psychopath who thinks it's fun to
rub his shit in people's faces.
A generation ago he would have been bashing gays. Two generations and
he would have been burning crosses outside African American homes.
Three and he would have been scrawling swastikas on the walls of
Jewish homes.

That is a Christian canard, a persistent piece of
prejudice directed against atheists by people who
have no conception of atheism.
Some believers are so devoid of imagination, and
so thoroughly indoctrinated, that they are
incapable even of imagining a life without God at
its center. They foolishly assume that someone
who doesn't accept their God has "a God-shaped
hole" and must emplace some other god as
substitute.
It's all very childish, and sensible Christians
have nothing to do with such nonsense.
People like you, however, find it to be a
compelling idea.
