  Kung Fu Election

Author: Puya_99
Date: Jan 24, 2008 07:54

The "Kung-Fu Election" game invites you to be the master of your own
political arena and have you favorite candidates duke it out. Options
include Democratic frontrunners Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John
Edwards and Bill Richardson as well as their Republican counterparts
Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, John McCain and Mike Huckabee. These
political rivals use their fancy footwork and crazy weapons to finish
off their opponents. After a long day of fighting, gamers can enjoy a
satirical music video that points out the numerous political issues such
as global warming and health care.*

"Robinhood Makes Good" vs. "Robin Hood.."

Author:

Please help:

Has anyone here seen the original title card to the 1939 Merrie Melodies
cartoon "Robin Hood Makes Good", possibly Charles Jones' third directorial
product?

1) I have seen a "blue ribbon" style title card entitled "ROBINHOOD MAKES
GOOD" (no space between "robin" and "hood") on television.

2) I recently witnessed an obviously computer-generated modern title frame
on the DVD "Cartoon Crazys volume 1" I rented from Netflix entitled "Robin
Hood Makes Good" (includes space).

3) The book "That's all Folks!", by Steve Schneider lists the title as
"Robin Hood Makes Good" (includes space).

4) The title is listed in www.imdb.com as "Robinhood Makes Good" (no space)

"Robin Hood Makes Good" (including the space) is the most reasonable
spelling. Has anyone here seen the original (pre-blue-ribbon-release)
title card for this cartoon? Or does anyone have an authoritative source
for the title spelling?

Thanks in advance.

  M`I 5`Persecution - BBC h2g 2 online

BBC. h2g2 16/Sept/1999

The BBC's h2g2 website is billed as "Earth Edition of. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!". Naturally, one of its pages
is about me, me, me. It starts. off with the lines;

Every. now and then something comes along which makes you
think "Ah! That's what the Internet is for!" Mike. Corley
is one such. case.

The page itself. can be found at http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/A164404

The user comments linked from h2g2 are less than respectful, but given the point of view. my website promulgates that is
understandable. It's true that without the communications ability afforded by. the internet, which came along at just the
right time, my complaints would be. getting nowhere. But that's a two edged sword also; miniature cameras only appeared
around 1990, so the advantage of technology. is up to the adopter. Secret service intrigues, and on the other side of the
coin human paranoia, have both been going on for centuries; what changes. now is an increased technologisation of both sides.

  Non-WB cartoon question

Are any of the old MGM Barney Bear cartoons on DVD in any form, does
anyone know? I've been looking around and would love to find this and
some of the other MGM 40s cartoons on a disk, similar to the Looney
Tunes disks or the Woody Woodpecker disk that recently came out.
