If a Mob boss had called a witness in an investigation concerning that
boss, like baseball star Keith Clemens did his confessed steroid- and
HGH-injecting trainer, and went all around and around without ever exactly
touching on the subject of that investigation while repeating how well he
had always treated that witness, like baseball star Keith Clemens did his
confessed steroid- and HGH-injecting trainer, what do you think the
prosecutors in charge of that investigation would think and do?
And now we find that over this very last weekend the Senate wanted to
contact his ex-nanny for testimony from her concerning his presence or
absence at a gettogether at baseball pitcher Jose Canseco's house, and
Clemens instead of just giving them her contact information called her to
his house and spoke with her before passing that information to the Senate.
At the very least, he needs to fire his lawyers, since they apparently
don't have the slightest concern for what is called in law "an appearance
of impropriety", in this case at least two splendid examples of
appearances of witness-tampering, which goings-on would already have
gotten Joe Blow hoiked right off the street to at the very least hear some
very harsh things from the bench . . . .
