ok, so i just scored a 4x8 sheet of thinish, maybe 20-24 gauge metel.
but i cant tell visually if its stainless or chromed. do any of you
know how i could test for this with only a set of files, a torch, a
digital caliper, a 1/100th oz scale, and kitchen supplies?

http://www.cdonatiello.com/wine/wine-list.aspx
After leaving Williams-Selyem we started up the road for Armida and
Belvedere wineries. As we were driving by what was supposed to be
Belvedere Winery the name on the sign was C. Donatiello. Upon the
return from the disappointment of finding the Stuhlmiller Cabernet
sold out at Armida we stopped in Donatiello, in hopes of finding the
very tasty Belvedere Sangiovese. No such luck, my disappointment was
mounting at not finding replenishment stocks for favored wines.
So I tasted the 3 offered Pinots. I am quite pleased that I did.
Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Maddie's Vineyard Pinot Noir
Floodgate Vineyard, Old Vine Pinot Noir
The Russian River was very good but undifferentiated from many other
of the Russian River appellation. It was Pinot...
Maddie's Vineyard was the highlight of the trip. Rich, nice biting
acidity, plenty of fruit and depth. Best wine I tasted all Saturday.

So I give my cats some ordinary canned cat-food, which they like alright,
but immediately after eating one brings me a partially-eaten mole.
Do you suppose the message is that Purina or whoever it is that makes
Friskies canned cat-food ought to be doing stuff like Mole Supreme?
And, indeed, why don't they? Field Mouse Prime Fillets, Shredded Robin
in Gravy and so on?

O chill revelation of absolute perfection,
jacket of frost forming, slightly fuming,
if you are just orange, all other oranges are not,
and you would seem to be the iciest of delicacies:
Life is full of such cruel surprises.

At least, I swept up at least twice as much glass as could possibly have
been in the original.
And that's only possible if you do an infinite decomposition of the
object, as exemplified by the Tarski-Banach ball.
Maybe this is a sign I should mop my kitchen-floor.
Will I need an infinite mop?

- The shrub family buys a patch of land in the high chaco of Paraguay.
There's water and natural gas underground in abundance, plenty of brush
to clear, nice bicycling country, no pretzel stands, and no neighbors,
since the chaco war done most of then in (well, except for the moonies
who own the adjacent million acres or so).
- THe facist dictatorship of the Colorado party has been stable for 60
years, doesn't extradite, and agrees to not prosecute US military and
other gumment guys even if they do bad stuff, making it a good place
for misunderstoodimated political leaders to lay low.
- Leftist-populist-socialist roman catholic bishop Fernando Lugo
tries to resign his position in the church to run for public office but
the pope doesn't accept it - no ministry, but still a priest.
- He wins, root changes in Paraguay's political culture are on the
horizon.
- The pope comes to the US and meets with shrubbie jr. but doesn't
hang around to do dinner - all business - pedophiles, tears, empathy
and stuff.

World National Naked Gardening Day.
http://weekendamerica.publicradio.org/display/web/2008/05/01/naked_gardening/
Apparently, Ojai, CA is a center of activity for this holiday:
*"How is it going over with your neighbors?"*
"At first it didn't go over well. And I have a slat fence -- so you can,
if you want to, peer through. And you can see what's going on in the
back yard. And for some reason, there were two or three neighbors who
weren't particularly happy about me having my clothes off in my own
yard. One of them actually called the police like 13 times. They only
came out nine. And then they stopped showing up, because I wasn't
breaking any laws."
*"So this woman, the last thing she wants to do is see you naked, and
she's peering through the slat fence to check on you?"*
"(laughing) How else is she going to know I'm naked!"
I'm thinking Smee knows something about this.
On reflection, it occurs to me that the issues Sharon B. has with wild
roses and other well-defended plants may also be related to this
practice.
