You need a link to the fact that Edinburgh is the UK number 2
tourist/commercial/financial destination next to London?

A train that leaves GCS and stops at the Abbotsinch buffers? What good
is that for connectivity?

Only if they live in or are visitng Edinburgh. Those who live in /
are visiting GLA would probably prefer GLA or PIK. I can't see that
anyone at present using PIK would prefer to use EDI unless it's
because they are getting such a cheap deal at PIK that it makes all
the travel there and back worth while. Or they want to go to Wick and
some low-cost outfit has told them that PIK is actually Wick (South).

No, they also think it's London (North) as well as Wick (South). Are
you suggesting there are some who think it's Edinburgh (Far West)?

No. You stated "...assume pax flying to PIK are visiting Glasgow..
nothing could be further from the truth" which is nonsense. Not
everyone who alights at Glasgow Central is "dispersing throughout ...
