Just say, for talking's sake, that GLA's new operator enticed all
PIK's pax carriers to GLA and in a years time GLA was handling
11,218,059 pax pa, what percentage of the Scottish passenger market
would GLA be handling by then, a guesstimate will do?

The the CC forcing BAA to sell an airport in Scotland would be an
unmitigated disaster for the travelling public - whom were supposed to be
going to be advantaged by the ruling - not disadvantaged.

Dont trust joes figures, Just found joe on another site as reads ----
Oh look - Joe had post #18 removed!
Did it contain rude words? No.
Did it list examples of his dishonesty? Yes.
Joe - in post 14 you give figures for GLA and EDI airports which are
false - BAA figures show that GLA handled 939,204 passengers last
month - almost 35,000 more than Edinburgh.
Why do you lie, Joe?
Why are you so insecure?

If what B says did happen, and I think it could, how would they be
disadvantaged Jim? Surely the bulk of GLA and PIK's combined market would be
that bit more handy to GLA than they are to PIK? And fares wouldn't
necessarily go up (beyond what they will anyway) because Ryanair being at
GLA will keep GLA's fares in check that bit more than they already do,
surely? Those disadvantaged are those closer to PIK but they are a small
minority of the total, I reckon, and inbound visitors will nearly all arrive
closer to where they are going.

No one does. I don't think many people read them either.

Unmitigated disaster that both EDI and Abbotsinch could compete?
I doubt Scotland's air passengers and millionms of visitors would
agree with your findings.
